Well, I am back in the office following hip replacement surgery; and I can honestly say in resounding contradiction to the claims of the Democrats in Washington, DC. that our healthcare system is not broken, and it is not in need of the massive overhaul they are trying to force down the throats of the American public. As a result, I have started my blog on healthcare. In my healthcare blog, I am going to take a look at some common sense alternatives to the Rube Goldberg, heavy handed beaurocratic mess the Democrats in Washington, DC. are trying to force down our thoughts. Their proposal is not only outrageous, but down right dangerous in that it risks destroying the best healthcare system in the world.
In the couple of weeks since my previous edition of the Sterling Weekly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 631.88 points, or approximately 7.4% to finish at 9,171.61 After looking rather weak the 1st part of July, the overall market rallied strong last week on positive earnings announcements. Earnings season continues this week with a large number of companies again reporting earnings this week. Additionally, the economics calendar is rather heavy this week, New Home Sales on Monday, and Advance GDP on Friday.
