Today's Comments: The overall market finished Tuesday moderately higher in a broad based move that every sector index I track move higher on the day. The strongest sectors on the day were the Banking, Airlines, Telecom, Disk Drive Manufacturers, Broker/Dealer, Insurance, Networking, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, High Tech, and Cyclical indices. Bonds moved higher on the day sending interest rates lower. The overall trend of the market continues to look weak, however it does look like we may be beginning to create support at the 8,100 level. Only time will tell if it will really develop at that level, but right now it looks like something could be forming there. In reviewing the various sector indices I track, I see nothing to indicates that any of them have broken their downward trends. The Bottom Line: The overall market should move lower.

Our Analysis: The shares of Transocean, Inc. 'RIG' set a new mult-year closing low yesterday on heavier than normal trading volume. In the process they closed below a key support level. This is a bearish trading signal. The shares of 'RIG' should continue to move lower and test $53.20/share, a point of downside support established in October of 2005. If the shares of 'RIG' close below that level, then they should continue to move lower and test $46.42/share, the point from which they gapped higher on the open of trading on May 24th, 2005. I see upside resistance on the shares of 'RIG' @ $55.40/share and have set my stops accordingly at $55.79/share.
